“When Dreams Soar” is a breathtaking homage to the incredible success story of the Whooping Crane, known for its distinguished trumpeting calls and elaborate courtship dances. Standing at nearly 5ft tall and a wingspan of up to 7.5ft these birds aren’t easy to miss.
Habitat loss and unregulated hunting nearly brought them to the brink of extinction in the early 1940s with fewer than 20 individuals remaining in the wild. Extensive conservation efforts, (including caretakers dressing up as cranes!) have brought their numbers up to over 540. They are still considered critically endangered.

All prints include an extra ½ inch border to make matting and framing easier. For example, a 9x12in artwork will arrive as a 10x13in print, including the border.
We use acid-free, archival-quality paper to ensure your art lasts a lifetime. Depending on the piece, we may use watercolor paper, Pastelmat, Bristol, or other premium surfaces suited to the medium.
Artwork will be shipped either flat or rolled in a sturdy tube, depending on the size, to ensure it arrives safely and in pristine condition.
